Size Guide: How to Pick the Right Fit for Tees, Hoodies and Sweatshirts
Most online clothing returns come down to one thing: fit. The easy fix is two minutes with a tape measure and a shirt you already love. That's usually all it takes to get the right size the first time.
Here's how to pick your size for our tees, hoodies and sweatshirts.
Measure something you already own
Lay your favorite tee or hoodie flat and measure straight across the chest from armpit to armpit. Then measure the length from the top of the shoulder to the hem. Compare those numbers with the size chart on the product page, which uses the same flat measurements.
Know the fit
We carry a few different cuts. Classic and relaxed tees are roomy and straight, fitted tees sit closer to the body, and crop hoodies and crop sweatshirts are cut shorter on purpose. Raglan hoodies and sweatshirts have sleeves that run up to the collar, which gives you more room in the shoulders.
Size up or stay true?
Want an oversized look? Go up one size. Layering a hoodie under a jacket? Your usual size usually works best. For fitted styles, go by your chest measurement.
Washing and shrinkage
Cotton can shrink a little in hot water or a hot dryer. Washing cold and hang-drying keeps everything true to size. Our guide on how to wash graphic tees and hoodies has more tips.
